The short answer
Entity linking is how search and AI systems connect a mention of your name to the right known entity. What I control is the sameAs property in schema markup, which points your organization or person to its official profiles, such as LinkedIn, GitHub or a Wikipedia page, so systems can confirm they are the same entity.

Why Entity Linking matters
Systems merge facts about an entity from many places. Official links tell them which profiles really belong to you.
How to measure or use it
Check that every sameAs address resolves, is official and states the same name and facts as your site.
{
"@context": "https://schema.org",
"@type": "Organization",
"name": "Example Studio",
"sameAs": [
"https://www.linkedin.com/company/example-studio",
"https://github.com/example-studio"
]
}How I handle it
I list only official profiles that truthfully describe you, and I keep the names identical across them.

Entity Linking questions
Is sameAs the same as a related link?
No. It states that two addresses describe the same thing. Use it only for official profiles of the same entity.
Do I need a Wikipedia page?
No. Many entities are recognized without one. Only link to a page that truthfully describes you.
