The short answer
An answer block is a short passage, usually two or three sentences under a clear heading, that answers one question directly and makes sense on its own. It is the unit most likely to be lifted into an AI answer.

Why Answer Block matters
Assistants quote passages, not whole pages. A direct answer near the top of a section gives them something clean to take.
How to measure or use it
For each target question, check that the page has one block that answers it first and is accurate on its own.

Authority takes months. I judge progress by the trend across a
fixed set of questions, never by one answer.</p>How I handle it
The answer box at the top of every entry in this glossary is an answer block. I put the direct answer first and the detail after it.

How long should an answer block be?
Two or three sentences is usually enough. The detail and proof follow underneath.
Does it replace the full article?
No. It is the top of a section. The article still carries the depth that makes the answer trustworthy.
